Russell Weeds Workshop

Join us for a hands-on, practical workshop focused on identifying and controlling Northland’s worst weeds. Whether you’re a seasoned landowner, conservation volunteer or simply keen to learn more about native restoration, this workshop is a fantastic opportunity to build your knowledge.
What to Expect:
- Plant ID session: Learn to identify 19 of the most common pest plant species in Northland (plus a few extras for those ready to test their skills!).
- Weed control methods: Get the latest insights on organic and herbicide-based control options.
- Biocontrol: Learn about the role of biocontrol in long-term weed management.
- NRC support: Find out how NRC can support your landcare efforts.
- Networking and morning tea: Connect with fellow volunteers, landowners, and community members over a cuppa.
This is a fast-paced but enjoyable session designed to give you lots of practical knowledge in a short time. Light morning tea will be provided.
