Russell School warmly invites the wider community to come together and celebrate the spirit of winter with a special Kapa Haka performance. The afternoon begins at 12:00pm with classrooms open for visitors, followed by a cup of tea and a chance to meet the teachers at 1pm. The Kapa Haka performance starts at 1:30pm in the school’s Wānanga.
Russell Landcare Trust is proud to support this event at a school where students have shown incredible support for our Predator Free Russell project. The school grounds are also part of our ongoing predator control efforts, making this a perfect opportunity to connect with the community we work alongside.
Open to all – come along and enjoy this uplifting celebration of local talent and culture.
